Hi, I’m Sarah.
I am a 26-year-old body positive feminist who lives in England and is recovered from atypical anorexia, which plagued me for ten years of my life.
I am a daughter, sister, friend, writer, reader, artist, photographer, poet, determinist, liberal, listener, warrior, baker, film buff, and dreamer. I am a lover and a fighter. I believe in equality between all sexes, genders, and races. I support Health At Every Size and the Fat Acceptance Movement. I am part of the eating disorder recovery and body positive communities on Instagram (as bodypositivepear).
I lived in America for a short period of time, and have travelled Thailand, and visited some other wonderful places such as Venice, Mexico, France, Germany, Belgium, and Tenerife.
I am a Beat media volunteer and through that have been on BBC Breakfast TV, BBC Radio Five Live, and BBC Radio Stoke, talking about the inappropriately long waiting times for treatment for eating disorders. I also worked on a voluntary basis for NEDA, as a NEDA Navigator. I currently work with young people with eating disorders.
This blog is for all the topics that I want to voice my thoughts about that don’t belong to my eating disorder and dieting recovery website (which you can visit here if you should so wish).
